Official Announcement This stamp features one of the two lions guarding the entrance to the New York Public Library. Sculpted by Edward Clark Potter, these trademarked beasts - nick-named Patience and Fortitude - have been adopted by the library as official mascots.
Varieties Perforations can be either Large hole or Small hole.  Small holes are from coils of 3,000.  Large holes can be from either coils of 500 or 3,000.  Another perforation variety exists where there is one larger hole in the row of smaller holes to the right of the numbered stamp.
