Robert Rabinowitz sent a scan of a splice that he found on the 39¢ Official stamp produced by Sennett.

     Bob says - "Attached is the scan of rows 2 and 3 as they came off the rolls. They may not have been rolls 2 and 3 of the web since there could have been material above these.
     But these two were certainly attached as were the 8 others. The actual splice is right through the second i of Official on the stamp just to the right of the # stamp. There are other vertical lines including one several mm. to the right of the real splice. Also there are vertical lines and markings on the stamp just to the right of the splice stamp. These appear on almost all the stamps in that position and helped to line up the rows. The material making up the splice is 1 cm. wide and white."
